I think there comes a time when you realize that it’s time to move on to another path, another journey.
Last night, as my first ever copy got honoured in the form of the best integrated brand campaign of the year, I felt… nothing. No joy, no excitement, zilch. And in that moment as I stood on stage with the other people who worked on the campaign, that this is it. This was the only copy I could ever think was award worthy, and as I looked back or thought about the future, I realized that I would probably never feel the same way about copy writing again. And because I no longer had that enthusiasm for copy writing, I could never write a better copy than my first one.
What is going to be my next move? I don’t know, I am still figuring that out. But, whatever it will be, I am ready for a new adventure.
