Another Beginning
So, it has been a while since I have written, but I had a good reason! I finally got a job (and I am loving it! *Mcdonald’s pada-pa-pa-pa plays in your head*)! I am an intern for now, but yes it is fun, amazing and I get to write (YAY!)
Life has taken a new direction and I am swimming in..can’t think of a good word right now because my mind is drained (in a good way, as it should be). I’ve accomplished almost everything that I had thought of for this year and it feels great to get things done. I went from the girl-who-almost-died to living life the way my heart wants. I am chasing rainbows and butterflies and i wake up excited, sleep blissfully tired and the day passes way quicker than I could have imagined.
I also joined the gym like two weeks back, so I am also trying to achieve that goal of being fit again. My body feels back to normal, my foot bothers me a lot less (could be because my mind is not idle anymore..). I am running with the wind in my hair, and the whispers of the rain in my ear.
I read a lot in August, all three novels amazing, mind-opening and mind-blowing. Definitely should be added to your reading list! Two are Luigi Pirandello’s books: One, None, and a Hundred Thousand and the other one is Six Characters Waiting for an Author and other plays (Penguin published; three plays in one book). The third one was Conversations with God Book 1 by Neale Donald Walsch.
I am currently reading Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Brother Karamazov. It is a long, long novel like Tolstoy’s War and Peace but damn, Russian authors just have such an amazing way of describing even the most smallest of things. And I have found a potential kindred spirit since Holden Caulfield (if you haven’t read Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, MUST read!) It’s going to take me a while to complete it, but my three book goals for September are:
- Brothers Karamazov (Fyodor Dostoevsky)
- War and Peace (Leo Tolstoy) [Re-read]
- Dead Souls (Nikolai Gogol) [Re-read]
Yes, all Russian authors, because why not?
Since I haven’t got the time to write, I am going to be putting either an audio clip or a video of the preface of the novel I am working on as a little sorry and also as a little treat (On Sunday, since I will be at work tomorrow also)!
Thank you for all the love and support I got from you all (keep it coming!). And thank you for coming to the site and checking for blog posts even though I didn’t post any social media updates.
Love and Light,
Leo Murasaki ๐
